GOGA, born in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, emerged from the collaborative vision of founders Rachael Phillips and Trey Kitchen. Seeking a unique way to support Harvey victims, the couple turned to the whimsical idea of Goat Yoga, a concept Rachael had been intrigued by since meeting Trey’s mother, Roxie, and her goats. Convinced that this unconventional approach could make a positive impact, Trey reached out to Roxie, the self-proclaimed “crazy goat lady,” who enthusiastically joined forces with them.
As the trio delved into GOGA, they discovered a harmonious blend of strengths and weaknesses among themselves, forming a dynamic and effective team. Recognizing an untapped market, Rachael and Trey observed that many GOGA participants had yet to experience traditional Yoga. This insight fueled their decision to launch a regular Yoga studio, using GOGA as a playful gateway to introduce individuals to the practice in a fun and approachable manner.
